Thornbury/Clarksburg Canada Day Parade. July 1st 2024

A number of members showed up for the Canada Day parade followed by a barbecue lunch at the Thornbury Arena.

We never cease to be amazed at the number and enthusiasm of people who turn out to view the parade. Down town Thornbury was a sea of people with just enough room for the parade to go through.

Wasaga beach Cruisers British Car Night on June 24th 2024

An event that needs to be seen to be believed. Held every monday night at the Stonebridge Gazebo behind the Wallmart in Wasaga Beach there were to many cars to count (mostly American). the June 24th event featured British Car Night sponsored by New2You Tire, Sales and Service. A number of club members participated and in fact there were more British Cars than expected so the area set aside was quickly over run. The sponsor provided a cool ride award which was won by Peter Turton's Morgan 4/4

The second meeting of the year was held at the Blue Mountain Golf Club on June 17th 2024

The meeting was well attended and many took advantage of an excellent meal at the golf club.

In lieu of a speaker we had a British car trivia night with teams at various tables. Subjects covered were "name this car manufacturer", "cars featured in James Bond movies", "identify this car logo" and "cars featured in British TV shows"

Advantage to those who watched british TV shows for the latter category and Bond movie afficionados.

The event was put together by Peter Turton and included power point pictures of the questions and the answers. The eventual winners were the team led by Mike Arkless along with Bill Rogers, Jim Spruce, Graeme Wallace and Paul Godrey who each received a bottle of wine.
